Timothy Adams
Tim is a professional engineer in the State of Nebraska and holds certifications in transportation operations (PTOE) and roadway safety (RSP1). He has worked in traffic engineering and transportation safety for 10 years. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska with both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering. Tim has worked for both the public and private sectors, having started his career at the Nebraska Department of Transportation before moving into private consulting. Originally from a small town in South Dakota, Tim has called Nebraska home for 14 years.
Safe Streets Nebraska was started to build on Tim’s work with municipal safety action plans, including those under the Safe Streets and Road for All (SS4A) initiative and Vision Zero. Recognizing that many actions are beyond the control of local jurisdictions, critical safety strategies necessitate regional coordination efforts, and there is a need for dedicated transportation safety advocacy at the state level. Safe Streets Nebraska is anchored by the vision that fatal crashes can be eliminated, and no one should pay with their life because of one mistake they or anyone else made.
